Scania R 620 - Yew Choon
Yew Choon from Singapore (SG) is deploying two of these Scania R 620 trucks which are mainly used for oversized transports. This truck was used with a 12-axle trailer to transport an old tank to a scrap yard.
The truck is this Scania R 620 with 6x4-drive line. The power comes from a Scania DC16, a 15.6-liter 8-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 462 kW (620 hp). Both rear axles are powered, only the front axle is steerable.
Behind the front axle are the battery, compressed-air tanks and a storage box mounted.
Behind the cabin are the large diesel tank, hydraulic oil tank and multiple compressed-air tanks mounted. On top of the driven rear axles are the ballast box with a total mass of 22 tonnes mounted.
A 12-axle Goldhofer modular trailer is pulled.
The cargo is an oversized tank with a 4.9 meter diameter and a mass of approx. 85 tonnes.
After a few attemps is the combination reversing into the yard. On this side are the muffler, AdBlue tank and a second storage box mounted behind the front axle.
