Together with the MAN TGX 41.680 was this very sharp 5 axle Scania R 620 of Kahl Schwerlast on the move to the Netherlands, they were parked at the border near to Venlo (NL).
The biggest advantage of a 5-axle truck is to have a bigger allowable load on the fifth wheel (about 30 tonnes). In the Netherlands are 5-axle trucks more ore less common, in Germany they are comming. A disadvantage is that the trailers should have an extended gooseneck.
It is a 5-axle truck with 620 HP and a 10x4 drive line. The last axle is steer- and liftable.
Here is proper to see how the load, a big steel tube, is directly loaded above the fifth wheel. By a smaller truck (3 or 4-axle) this wouldn't be possible and should have used an extra trailer.
On the other side is the tube supported on a 4-axle Faymonville dolly.
A very nice duo, unfortunately badly to photograph due the low winter sun.
