Hup Hin
This impressive and new Scania P 450 of Hup Hin from Singapore (SG) was parked in an industrial area during a weekend. It is a 4-axle truck equipped with a heavy loader crane and cargo bed.
The vehicle is powered by a Scania DC13, a 13-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 331 kW (450 hp). The vehicle features an 8x4 drive configuration, with both rear axles driven and both front axles steerable.
In the space behind the first axle, the outrigger of the loader crane is stowed. Behind the second axle, the exhaust silencer, compressed air tanks and the AdBlue tank are installed.
Behind the cab, an Effer 2055/8S loader crane is mounted. This loader crane has a boom that extends eight times and offers a maximum horizontal reach of 19.4 meters. The maximum load of 42 tonnes can be lifted up to a 2.7-meter radius; at maximum radius, the lifting capacity is still 6.1 tonnes.
The vehicle was built in 2021.
For improved forward capacity, the vehicle is equipped with an additional outrigger in front of the cab. The outriggers beside the crane extend to a maximum width of 10.1 meters.
On this side, the diesel tank is mounted behind the second axle. The loader crane is equipped with an additional jib, increasing the reach to 31.6 meters.
