Scania P 450 - Holtrop & Van der Vlist
This sharp Scania P 450 of Holtrop & Van der Vlist from Assen (NL) was called to collect a piling rig in Lambertschaag (NL) for transport onto the next construction site.
The combination exists out of a 5-axle truck with a 5-axle low loader in 1-bed-4 configuration.
The cargo is this sharp Junttan PMx20 of Funderingstechniek Heeg with a mass of 55 tonnes.
The truck is this sharp Scania P 450 with 10x4-drive line. The axles 4 and 5 are powered by the Scania DC13, a 12.7-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 331 kW (450 hp). The axles 1, 2 and 5 are steerable.
Behind the cabin are a large storage compartment and the diesel tank installed and behind the front axle is the muffler installed. The compressed-air tanks are installed between the rear axles.
The cabin is lowered and positioned more forwards for overpassing cargos, to protect the cabine is behind the cabine a heavy frame made.
Because the cabin is moved forwards to reduce the height was is also required to position the radiator behind the cabine. Behind the front axle are two AdBlue tanks installed.
