Arend Harms from Apeldoorn (NL) is the showman of the biggest traveling ferris wheel in the BeNeLux, the Diamond Wheel has a 55 meter height. For the transport are several special transports required.
The truck is a Scania 144 G 460 with 6x4 drive line.
Behind the cab is a small Atlas 200.1 knuckle boom mounted.
Special is ofcourse the trailer. The ferris wheel is able to put itself without assist of a crane. This is a hydraulic folding A-frame. Between the beems are laying the 14 arcs to make the wheel. For the ferris wheel are two of these trailers required.
On the front- and rear side are the big outriggers made. A third 6-axle trailer with the spokes is parked between the two A-frames, the trailer are then fixed with eachother and the wheel is able to unfold. A fourth trailer is taking the gondolas and is making the transport complete.
The ferris wheel was build in 2008 by Mondial Rides from Heerenveen (NL).
