Nagel is using from the branch in Ulm (DE) this sharp Mercedes-Benz Actros 4151 for the transport of bottom-slewing tower cranes. Nagel is owning more of these trucks from other branches also.
These trucks hava 8x6-drive line and year of manufacture 2010.
The truck is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA, a 15.9-liter 8-cylinder diesel engine with a power or 375 kW (510 hp). The force is spread over the first and the last two axles, both front axles are steerable.
Between the first and second axle is a small storage compartment made. Between the second and third axle are the compressed-air tanks and the battery installed.
Usually is an amount of counterweight of the tower crane loaded in the the box.
The trailer is a Liebherr 81 K with transport axles. The crane is around 16.5 meters long, 2.6 meters wide and 3.95 meters high. The transport mass is around 25.2 tonnes.
At the rear of the truck is a Fassi F295A lorry crane installed. The lorry crane lifts maximum 9 tonnes on a 2.7 meter radius and 2.59 tonnes on a 10.2 meter radius. The lorry crane can be used to lift the counterweights from the box onto the tower crane.
A small coupling on the front bumper can be used to manoeuvre the tower crane on the construction site.
A beautiful combination from Nagel! With special thanks for posing the combination for the photos!
