Max Wild from Berkheim (DE) was using this sharp Mercedes-Benz Actros with an 8-axle low loader to transport a large Liebherr material handler to the port.
It is a 8x4 heavy haulage truck that is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 473 LA, a 15.6-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine with 625 hp. The two rear axles are powered, the two front axles are steerable. The truck can be used for train weights up to 250 tonnes.
Behind the front axle is the large Euro 6 muffler installed. Between the last two axles is a small storage compartment made.
In the large equipment tower behind the cabin are the large diesel tank, hydraulic oil tank, battery, storage compartment, compressed-air tanks and coolers installed. The tower is covered on both sides by side flaps.
On the driver's side are behind the front axle the AdBlue tank and a small storage compartment made.
There is no coupling at the rear of the chassis mounted, the truck can't be used with a ballast box to tow trailers. Remarkable, because the truck has a reinforced bumper and a register coupling.
Attached is an 8-axle Goldhofer THP/SL-S (3+5) low loader. Max Wild is owning 15 axles of this type.
The trailer has a 3 meter breadth.
The cargo is a base machine of a Liebherr LH 60 M material handler with a destination in the USA. The Liebherr is 13.5 meters long, 3.8 meters wide and 4.35 meters high. The transport mass is 55.9 tonnes.
A very sharp combination! The heaviest in the fleet of Max Wild!
