This sharp Mercedes-Benz Actros 2655 of Lindel from Berg-Kasernen (DE) was waiting with an oversized load until it was allowed to drive.
It is a truck with 6x4 drive line, both rear axles are powered by the Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA, a 15.9 liter V8 engine with 551 hp. The 2,600 Nm torque is reached by 1,080 rpm.
Behind the front axle are the muffler, compressed-air tanks, battery and a storage compartment made. Behind the cabin are a large frame and another two storage compartments made.
Lindel is spezialized in driving oversized parts with a dolly. The company is operation two trucks, both from Mercedes-Benz.
On the other side are the air filter, the AdBlue tank and the diesel tank installed between the axles.
The four roofbeams have a 41 meter length, the combination is around 45 meters long. The dolly and truck are connect with eachother by a steel cable, the distance between them is fixed.
These roofbeams would be transported that night to a construction site somewhere else in southern Germany.
The 3 axle dolly is product of Welte, a company that is producing now only forest machines.
The transport is allowed to drive after 07:00 PM, but first after the combination is inspected by the police. The police escorts the transport during the whole trip and drives in front of the transport to attent other drivers for the oversized transport.
