Fairground entertainer Burghard-Kleuser from Dortmund (DE) is exploiting the ferris wheel "Roue Parisienne" and has for the transport of this ferris wheel some trucks in use. This Mercedes-Benz Actros 2657 truck with lorry crane is used for the cranage.
It is a 6x4 truck that is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA, an 8 cylinder diesel engine with 15.9 liter stroke and 571 hp. That is the heaviest engine that was available for the Actros MP1, that was built between 1996 and 2003.
The Actros itself takes also parts of the ferris wheel with it, like the large shaft and a lot of wood to found the attraction. Between the axles are the muffler, airbarrels, battery and a large storage box made.
On the rear of the chassis is a Fassi F460 lorry crane mounted, this crane can lift 15 tonnes. The crane is equipped with a winch.
The truck itself takes a 4 axle trailer with the gondolas with it. With the coupling in the front bumper the trailer is pulled out of it's position.
The sharp combination is ready for the transport to the next fair!
