MAN TGS 33.480 - Lima Bintang
This sharp and tough MAN TGS 33.480 belongs to Lima Bintang from Johor Bahru (MY) and was used to deliver a heavy cable reel to Singapore. The combination exists out of a 3-axle truck with an 8-axle towed trailer.
The truck is a MAN TGS 33.480 with 6x4-drive line. The truck is powered by a MAN D2676, a 12.4-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 353 kW (480 hp).
The truck is used here as ballasted truck. Under the ballast box is the cardanic fifth-wheel mounted, the truck can also be used to tow trailers with king-pin. Behind the front axle are the compressed-air tanks and battery mounted.
The truck is fitted with a reinforced bumper with front coupling, so that the truck is also able to push or brake transports.
At the drivers side are the muffler and dieseltank mounted.
Attached is an 8-axle Goldhofer THP/SL trailer, the trailer is composed out of two 4-axle modules.
The cargo on the trailer is a cable reel with approx. 2.44 kilometer 88.9 mm diameter steel wire rope. The mass of the total cargo is 89.16 tonnes.
