This sharp Woltman THW 4019-DS of Jacbo from Schüttorf (DE) stood on a construction site in Herbrechtingen (DE) to drill piles for the foundation of a large factory. The rig's year of manufacture is 2006.
The undercarriage is 4.75 meters long and 4.2 meters wide. For the transport over the road is the width to be reduced to 3.3 meters. The tracks are 0.9 meters wide.
The drilling rig is powered by a Caterpillar C-12, a 12 liter 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 323 kW (440 hp).
The rig is fitted with a 10-tonne hoist winch, a 6-tonne pull-down winch and a 3-tonne auxilairy winch.
The four large outriggers give the rig enough stability during drilling.
On the superstructure is 5.4 tonnes of counterweight mounted, the counterweight has a 3.57 meter tailswing.
Next to the drilling rig is the Mercedes-Benz Actros assist truck parked. This truck is fitted with a concrete pump and auxilairy crane.
The leader has a standard length of 21.8 meters and can be extended to 24.8 meters. The leader can be adjusted to an 18.4 degree angle backwards to drill piles.
The rotary drive of EFG (European Foundation Group) has a torque of approx. 15 kNm.
For the transport over the road is it possible to fold the leader head backwards to reduce the total transport length. The drilling rig has in that case a maximum length of 18 meters and the total mass is approx. 52 tonnes.
