This impressive Nippon Sharyo DH558-110M-5 belongs to CSC from Singapore (SG) and stood on a large construction site to drive piles for a new large refinery. The rig has an operational mass of approx. 115 tonnes.
The machine is powered by a HINO J08E-TM, a 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 159 kW (216 hp). The engine powers in total five hydraulic pumps.
The undercarriage is 5.52 meters long and 4.4 meters wide. For the transport over the road is the width to be reduced to 3.3 meters by hydraulics.
The rig has in total 16.5 tonnes of counterweight. The two additional outriggers take care of enough stability.
Here was the rig erected with a 21.3 meter long leader. This is the shortest leader possible, the maximum length will be 33.3 meters.
At the rear of the counterweight is an additional powerpack mounted to power the hydraulic hammer in the leader.
A very interesting rig of CSC!
