This Kobelco BM700C belongs to Sterk from Drachten (NL) and was used to drive piles for a new office building in Leeuwarden (NL). On the same construction site was also the Liebherr LRB 255 deployed.
The base machine is powered by a Mitsubishi 6D22-T, a 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 170 kW (230 hp). The undercarriage is 6.6 meters long and 5.1 meters wide.
The standard crawler crane is converted to pile driver. Next to the superstructure is the extendable table mounted to stabilise the leader from below.
To power the large Junttan hydraulic hammer in the leader is an extra powerpack used that is mounted at the back of the superstructure. Attached to the superstructure is also 23,55 tonnes of counterweight.
The leader is hanging in the main boom, which has a 24.4 meter length. The leader has a total length of approx. 35 meters.
Here was steel piles driven into the ground by the Kobelco.
