This Kobelco 85P pile driving rig of an unknown company from Singapore (SG) stood on a construction site there to drive piles into the ground for a new ware house.
It is a piling rig based on a 50-tonne crawler crane. The undercarriage is 4.97 meters long and maximum 3.96 meters wide. For the transport over the road is the width to be reduced to only 3.3 meters.
The rig is powered by a Mitsubishi 6DG10C-K diesel engine with 130 hp. To drive the hydraulic hammer hanging in the leader is an extra power pack used mounted to the rear of the rig. The full counterweight on the rig weights 9.1 tonnes.
The piling rig has an extra large A-frame so that the rig can erect the leader by itself from horizontal position.
A couple of days later I could take photos of the rig in action. Here are square concrete piles driven into the ground. The pile driving rig with tubular leader is also good useable with a rotary drive.
The leader has a length of 21.95 meters. An interesting machine!
