JMS RISI from Rapperswil-Jona (CH) has a large fleet with foundation rigs including this Banut 700 piling rig.
In the leader is hanging a Banut Classic 4000, a 5 tonne hammer with a 4000 kg ram weight.
The rig is powered by a Volvo 71ACE diesel engine with 209 hp.
Large stabilizers keep the rig stable during inclined pile driving. This rig can drive piles under a 16 degree angle forwards, 45 degrees backwards and 7 degrees sideways.
The transport mass without hammer is around 38 tonnes.
This rig can be used to drive piles up to a 16.5 meter length.
The base carrier is an Akerman H14B excavator.
Some weeks later I could take some photos on the same contruction site of the rig in action.
Precast concrete piles for a new hall are driven into the ground here.
