This interesting Woltman THW A-1000 PDS of GEKA (today: Dimco) from Dordrecht (NL) was taken into operation in the beginning of 2009. It is a 100-tonne crawler crane that can also be used as pile driver with a leader system.
The undercarriage is 6.67 meters long and 5.45 meters wide. For the transport over the road is the width to be reduced to 3.5 meters only.
The crane is powered by a Caterpillar C-13 diesel engine with 475 hp.
The counterweight on the superstructure has a total mass of 30 tonnes and has a tailswing of approx. 5 meters.
The main boom has a maximum length of 42 meters.
In the superstructure are in total five winches mounted, a luffing winch, two 15-tonne hoist winches and twoo 6-tonne auxilairy winches.
Here was the crane used to assist by the construction of a new port in Amsterdam (NL). A very sharp crane of GEKA!
