Not a crane for the construction site; this Liebherr G-BKF for the army can be used as a lifting crane and as a recovery vehicle.
33 units were orderd by the German army, also with 38 units of the G-LTM 1090-4.1. These crane have an armoured cabin.
The show continues with the transport posibilities of mobile cranes; are the boom and outriggers removed from the LTM 1750-9.1 the weight can be reduced up to 59 tonnes.
The same for the LTM 1450-8.1, this crane then only weights 52 tonnes.
The posibilities of the vario outriggers and ballast were also shown with a LTM 1450-8.1. This crane could lift two times 2.4 tonnes up to a 66 meter radius.
The heaviest transport posibility of the LTM 1750-9.1 weights 140 tonnes; with boom, guying and outriggers.
The heaviest transport posibility of the LTM 1450-8.1 weights 125 tonnes; with boom, outriggers, 24 tonnes of counterweight, counterweight frame and short jib.
A premiere! During this show the succesor of the very succesful LTM 1200-5.1 was introduced; the Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1!
It is a 230 tonne crane on a 5 axle carrier. The main boom has a maximum length of 75 meters.
Also this crane has the vario ballast and outriggers.
The crawler cranes were not forgotten this year!
All the curent products - from LR 1350/1 till LR 13000 were this year displayed on the test yard for a small show.
The next premiere; the Liebherr LR 1800-1.0 is a 800 tonne crawler crane and fills the gap between the LR 1750/2 and the LR 11000.
A show was prepared to erect the LR 1800-1.0 in a very short time. The body was hanging in a LR 1500 and was set on the test yard.
The first crawler track is already comming.
The second crane; the LR 1750/2 is driving forwards.
Both crawler tracks are assembled at the same time; at the left by a LR 1600/2 and at the right by the LR 1750/2.
And the counterweight arrives.
And the boom, hanging in a LR 11000.
This is the first time the Liebherr is using a tapered main boom with three different sizes; the HSL boom. That means Heavy, Strong and Light.
In the mean time the LR 1800-1.0 is ballasted by a LTR 1100 and a LTR 1220.
The maximum counterweight of the LR 1800-1.0 is 230 tonnes, for this show only 110 tonne was used.
Don't forget the hook!
Around 35 minutes later is the LR 1800-1.0 booming up.
This crane can be erected with a 84 meter luffing jib and a 84 meter main boom.
Impressive view, the LR 1350/1 between the tracks of the LR 13000. This LR 13000 has serial number 4.
This LR 11350 doesn't had a job during the show, but we do not hide it for you.
With an overview of the test yard for crawler cranes we are closing this report. With many thanks to Liebherr-Werk Ehingen for this very well organized day!
