Tadano ATF 180G-5

Yew Choon Technology

Yew Choon Technology from Singapore (SG) operates this interesting Tadano ATF 180G-5, a 180-tonne crane mounted on a 5-axle carrier. The crane was deployed to assemble Yew Choon's Liebherr LR 1750/2.

The carrier is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA, an 8-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 405 kW (551 hp). The carrier features a 10x8x10 drive configuration, with axles 1, 2, 4 and 5 driven and all axles steerable.

The outrigger base measures 9.05 x 8.3 meters, or 9.05 x 5.6 meters in half configuration.

In transport configuration, this crane is 15.13 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters high. The transport weight is approximately 72 tonnes.

Here, the crane was operated with 36 tonnes of ballast. The ballast can be increased to 50 tonnes by means of two additional 7-tonne blocks mounted laterally. The ballast has a slewing radius of 4.85 meters.

The crane is equipped with an 8.5-tonne hoist winch with a hoist rope diameter of 21 mm.

The six-section main boom has a base length of 13.2 meters and a maximum length of 60 meters. The main boom is extended here to a length of 30.6 meters. In this configuration, the crane can lift a maximum of 74.8 tonnes at a 4-meter radius or 11 tonnes up to a 28-meter radius.

Here, boom sections of the Liebherr LR 1750/2 were lifted.

A very impressive and robust crane from Yew Choon Technology!
