Winder Limmen from Alkmaar (NL) is owning this sharp Tadano ATF 70G-4 that I could photograph on their yard in Alkmaar (NL). The crane's year of manufacture is 2014.
It is a 70 tonne crane on a 4 axle crane carrier. The undercarriage is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 501 LA, a 6 cylinder diesel engine with 435 hp. The engine drives 3 of the 4 axles, all axles are steerable.
This ATF 70G-4 has a main boom with an 11 meter base length and extends 4 times to a 44 meter length. The main boom can be extended with a double folding jib with a 9 or 16 meter length. It is possible to mount the jib under a 0, 20 or 40 degree angle.
The outrigger base measures 7.8 x 6.4 meters, or half 7.8 x 4.4 meters.
During transport over the road are 9 tonnes of counterweight lay down on the undercarriage. The total counterweight weights 15 tonnes and has a 3.45 meter tailswing.
The other 6 tonnes of counterweight remain on the superstructure. At the rear of the chassis is a nice storage compartment made, on top are laying the outrigger pads. Packed has this crane a 12.5 meter length, a 2.66 meter breadth and a 3.85 meter height. During the transport over the road has the crane a 48 tonne transport mass.
The crane doesn't bring a jib with it.
The crane stood next to its predecessor, a FAUN ATF 65G-4 with year of manufacture 2006. This crane has a wide crane carrier for better useability on the beach.
