Weiss Kranservice from Mindelheim (DE) owns a fleet of about 200 tower cranes. To erect and dismantle the tower cranes, the company has own mobile cranes in use.
The fleet exists out of two Tadano ATF 220G-5 and a Tadano ATF 100G-4. This is the newest 220 tonne crane that was parked during a weekend on an industrial area in Ummendorf (DE).
The 7 part main boom has 6 telescopic sections. The main boom has a 13.2 meter base length and a fully extended length of 68 meters.
The undercarriage is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 471 LA, a 6 cylinder diesel engine with 530 hp. The engine powers 4 of the 5 axles, all axles are steered.
The outrigger base measures 9.05 x 8.3 meters, or half 9.05 x 5.6 meters.
The superstructure is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 934 LA, a 4 cylinder diesel engine with 197 hp.
Optionally the crane can be equipped with a second winch.
On a ballast trailer are laying the first three counterweight parts and the outrigger pads. Here is 23.5 tonnes loaded, the maximum counterweight weights 71 tonnes and has a 5 meter tailswing.
In transport mode is the crane 15.1 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters high. The main boom can be extended by a lattice jib of 36 meters that can be mounted under an angle of 0, 20 or 40 degrees against the main boom. The ATF 220G-5 could also be equipped with an hydraulic jib, this is not only hydraulically adjustcable but also extendable to a 22.85 meter length.
A very sharp crane!
