This Tadano HK 40 of Krösche-Kran Service from Holzminden (DE) was used by the assembly of a house in Aichstetten (DE).
The undercarriage used here is a Scania P 410 8x4 chassis. The truck is powered by a 13 liter 6-cylinder diesel engine with 400 hp. The crane's year of manufacture is 2010, KKS has in total eight units of this type in operation.
The outrigger base measures 6.6 x 6.3 meters, or half 6.4 x 4.9 meters.
The front outriggers are folding backwards during the transport over the road. Behind the front axle is the muffler installed, the diesel tank is made behing the second axle.
The full counterweight weights 8.5 tonnes and has a 3.46 meter tailswing. Because Krösche choose for an 8x4 chassis the crane can take all the counterweight with it during transport over the road.
To win additional boom length is the hoist winch not made behind but next to the boom. The hoist rope has a 3.5 tonne line pull.
The 4-part main boom has a 10.5 meter base length and extends three times to a 35.2 meter length. Optionally the main boom can be extended by a 9 meter swingaway jib that is under 0, 20 or 40 degrees mountable.
