This sharp Tadano GR-550EX of Hup Hin from Singapore (SG) was used for smaller lifting duties on a large construction site. It is a 55-tonne rough-terrein crane mounted on a 2-axle carrier.
The carrier is about 8 meters long and 3.32 meters wide. The crane has a total mass of approx. 43 tonnes. For the transport between construction sites is the vehicle towed because the vehicle can't get a road registralien (licence plate).
The crane is powered by a Mitsubishi 6M60-TLU3B, a 7.5-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 200 kW (272 hp). The diesel engine powers in total three hydraulic pumps. A maximum driving speed of 39 km/h can be reached.
The outriger base measures 7.2 x 7.2 meters.
Attached to the superstructure is a counterweight with a 5.1 tonne mass, the tailswing is 4.12 meters. The crane has two 5.5-tonne hoist winches, both are in operation here.
The crane has a 5-part main boom with an 11.1 meter base length and extends four times to a maximum length of 42 meters. Optionally is the main boom to be extended by a bi-fold swingaway jib with a 9.9 - 17.7 meter length. The jib is mountable under a 3.5, 25 or 45 degree angle to the main boom.
An interesting crane of Hup Hin!
