Tieman from Schagen (NL) is using this sharp Spierings SK599-AT5 since the end of 2017. It is a used crane from Boekestijn and has year of manufacture 2011. This crane replaces the 2002 Spierings SK488-AT4 that was used by Tieman before.
It is the largest crane the company had until now.
The 5 axle crane carrier is powered by a DAF MX 375, a 12.9 liter diesel engine with 510 hp. Over a ZF gearbox are the axles 2, 3 and 5 driven. The crane could reach a maximum speed on the road of 83 km/h.
The crane has a 15.43 meter transport length. The first two and the last two axles are steerable, the axle in the middle is fixed.
At the rear of the crane is a nice storage compartment made, above are laying the large outrigger pads.
The crane has a 3 meter breadth and a 4 meter height. The transport mass is around 60 tonnes.
Normally the crane is erected with a 25.4 meter tower height (23.8 meter hook height), but when required is it possible to extend the tower to a 34.1 meter length (32.6 meter hook height).
The jib has a 50 meter length. The maximum load of 9 tonnes could be lifted on a 13 meter radius with fully extended outriggers, at maximum reach still 1,900 kg could be lifted.
The outrigger base measures 7.5 x 7.66 meters, or half 7.5 x 5.72 meters. The tailswing of the counterweight is 4 meters.
The superstructure is powered by a John Deere 4045HF285-T3 diesel engine with 142 hp. The counterweight weights 9.55 tonnes.
When the jib is angled in a 30 degree position a hook height of 55 meters could be reached by a 43.5 meter radius.
With this sharp crane Tieman is prepared for the future! With special thanks to Tieman for posing and presenting it's latest addition!
