This sharp Sennebogen 5500 was used by Dekker from Werkdendam (NL) on a construction site in Utrecht (NL). It is a 180 tonne crawler crane with year of manufacture 2001. The company Dekker doesn't exist anymore and this crane es exported already a long time ago.
It is the first built Sennebogen 5500. The crane is powered by a Caterpillar C9 diesel engine with a power of 261 kW (354 hp). The undercarriage of the crane is 8.5 meters long and 6.8 meters wide.
Between the tracks are on both sides central counterweight slabs with each 10 tonnes installed, in total 20 tonnes. Below the main boom is a smaller winch installed that can be used to be reefed in opposite direction over the boom to drag the heavies wire ropes to the boom head.
The counterweight has a total mass of 60 tonnes, that exists out of a 12 tonne base plate with in total ten slabs with each 4.8 tonnes. The counterweight has a 6 meter tailswing.
A single track is 8.5 meters long, 1 meter wide and 1.37 meters tall. The mass each is 17.4 tonnes.
The cabin is 20 degrees tiltable.
On this construction site of Thesis Bouw from Nieuwegein (NL) was the crane used to built a block out of precast concrete elements.
Here was the crane erected with a 24.3 meter main boom and a 29.9 meter long luffing jib.
The luffing jib has a maximum length of 52.3 meters, possible on an also 52.3 meter long main boom.
A detail of the display in the cabin that gives the crane operator the information. In this configuration is the crane able to lift 21.2 tonnes on a 26.5 meter radius.
A very sharp crane in the colours of Dekker! They have used two of these Sennebogen 5500 crawler cranes.
