This interesting Sany SCC550TB belongs to UBTS from Singapore (SG) and was parked at a storage yard. It is a 55-tonne telescopic crawler crane built in 2017.

The crane is powered by a 5.9-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 154 kW (207 hp).

The carrier is 5.83 metres long and 4.6 metres wide. For transport on public roads (as shown here), the width of the carrier can be reduced to 3.36 metres. The crawler tracks are 0.76 metres wide.

In the configuration shown here, the crane weighs 59.5 tonnes. The crane is 14.26 metres long, 3.36 metres wide and 3.25 metres high.

A five-part ballast with a total weight of 20 tonnes is mounted on the superstructure and has a swing radius of 3.7 metres. The ballast consists of a 5-tonne base plate, two plates weighing 4.3 tonnes each and two blocks weighing 3.3 tonnes each.

The five-section main boom has a base length of 11.3 metres and telescopes four times to a maximum length of 42 metres. Optionally, the main boom can be extended with a 7.4- to 13.4-metre-long folding jib. This jib can be mounted to the main boom at an angle of 0, 15 or 30 degrees.

The crane is equipped with two 5-tonne hoist winches, both of which are in use here.

A fine crane from UBTS!
