This sharp Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2 belongs to Williams Cranes from Pinkenba (AU) and stood during a visit to their yard parked there. It is a 90-tonne crane mounted on a 4-axle carrier. The crane's year of manufacture is 2018.
The 4-axle carrier is powered by a 6-cylinder Liebherr diesel engine with a power of 330 kW (449 hp). This crane has the 8x6x8-drive line, there the axles 2 to 4 are powered and all axles are steerable.
The 7-part main boom has an 11.4 meter base length and extends six times to a maximum length of 60 meters. Optionally is the main boom extenable by a 9.5 or 16 meter long bi-fold swinaway jib. The jib is hydraulically in an angle between 0 and 40 degrees adjustable.
In transit is the crane 13.65 meters long, 2.69 meters wide and 3.9 meters tall. The transport mass is approx. 47 tonnes.
Attached to the superstructure is a counterweight slab with a 1.7 tonne mass. The counterweight can be positioned at two different tailswings, at 3.77 and 4.71 meters. The tailswing can be chosen during the assembly of the crane by rotating the hydraulic cylinders forwards or backwards.
During the transport over the road is a 5-tonne counterweight slab stored on the undercarriage.
The full counterweight of the crane weights 21.8 tonnes, the remaing slabs are when required transported by truck to the job site.
The outrigger base measures 7.474 x 7.3 meters, or half 7.474 x 4.81 meters.
A very sharp crane of Williams Cranes!
