This fine Liebherr LTF 1045-4.1 of Spallek from Ibbenbüren (DE) travelled all the way to Amsterdam (NL) for a job installing precast concrete elements. It is a 45-ton crane mounted on a four-axle truck chassis.

The crane is mounted on a Mercedes-Benz Actros 4141 chassis. This four-axle carrier has an 8x4 drive configuration; both rear axles are driven by a Mercedes-Benz OM 501 LA, an 11.9-litre six-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 300 kW (408 hp).

The X-shaped outrigger base measures 6.42 x 6.2 metres, or 5.3 x 4.65 metres in half-outrigger configuration. In transport condition, the crane is 14 metres long, 2.55 metres wide and 3.85 metres high. The total weight of the crane is approximately 33 tons.

The superstructure is powered by a Liebherr four-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 129 kW (175 hp). This diesel engine drives a total of two hydraulic pumps, allowing all four crane movements to be carried out simultaneously.

The four-section main boom has a base length of 10.5 metres and telescopes three times to a maximum length of 35 metres. Optionally, the main boom can be extended with a 9.5-metre jib. This jib can be mounted to the main boom at angles of 0, 20, 40 or 60 degrees.

A total of 5 tons of ballast is mounted on the superstructure; this ballast has a slewing radius of 3 metres. The complete ballast package weighs 9 tons. The crane is equipped with a 3.4-tonne hoist winch.

A fine crane from Spallek. This company operates telescopic cranes with lifting capacities of up to 300 tons.
