This sharp Liebherr LTM 1200-5.1 of Skyliners from Leudelange (LU) was a while their largest crane in the fleet. Skyliners is the largest rental company of tower cranes in Luxembourg and is also deploying some mobile cranes.
It is a 200 tonne crane mounted on a 5-axle carrier. The undercarriage is powered by a Liebherr 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 370 kW (503 hp). This crane has the optional 10x8-drive line where the axles 1, 2, 4 and 5 are driven.
The outrigger base measures 8.9 x 8.3 meters, or half 8.9 x 5.5 meters.
In transit is the crane 15.4 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters tall. The transport mass is approx. 60 tonnes.
The crane is often used for the erection and dismantling of tower cranes.
Here was the crane fitted with the basic counterweight of 12 tonnes. The full counterweight weights 72 tonnes. The counterweight has a 4.85 meter tailswing. Geometrically is the crane able to bring this 12 tonne slab with it on the undercarriage during the transport over the road.
Behind the crane are the other cranes of Skyliners erected, a Liebherr LTM 1040-2.1, a Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 and a Liebherr LTM 1130-5.1. Today the company is also deploying a Liebherr LTM 1090-4.2, a Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 and a Liebherr LRT 1090-2.1.
The mainboom has a base length of 13.2 meters and extends six times to a maximum length of 72 meters. The mainboom can be extended by a 12.2 or 22 meter long bi-fold swingaway jib. Here is the mainboom extended 62.8 meters and is the 22 meter jib installed.
During an event was it possible for visitors to be lifted to a height of approx. 80 meters ...
... to enjoy the view over Luxembourg. Here are we looking in the direction of the capital Luxembourg (LU).
