The largest crane that is deployed by Joh. Schol from Zaandam (NL) is this sharp Liebherr LTM 1150-6.1, it is a 150-tonne crane installed on a 6-axle carrier. The crane's year of manufacture is 2012.
The 6-axle carrier is powered by a Liebherr D9508 A7, an 8-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 400 kW (544 hp). This crane is equipped with the optional 12x8-drive line, where the axles 1, 2, 4 and 5 are driven. All axles are steerable.
The full outrigger base of the crane measures 9.28 x 8.32 meters, on 75% 9.28 x 6.85 meters or half 9.28 x 5.38 meters. The crane was erected here on the 75% base.
The full counterweight of the crane weights 46.8 tonnes and has a 4.3 meter tailswing. In transit is 6.6 tonnes of counterweight stored on the undercarriage.
Attached to the superstructure remains 8.4 tonnes of counterweight. The crane is bringing by itself 15 tonnes of counterweight and stays within the valid axle loadings, the biggest advantage of the 6-axle carrier. The crane is equipped with an 8.8-tonne hiost winch with a 21 mm cable.
At the rear of the chassis is a large storage compartment made for some lifting gear. During the transport over the road are the four large aluminium pads stored at the rear of the chassis.
When it is required, the crane is bringing a 3-axle trailer, with some additional 15.8 tonnes of counterweight. Two hang-on slabs with each 8 tonnes will make the 46.8 tonne counterweight complete, these counterweight pieces are transported by truck.
The main boom has a 13.7 meter base length and extends five times to a maximum length of 66 meters. Optionally is the 10.8 or 19 meter long bi-fold swingaway jib to be mounted under a 0, 20 or 40 degree angle on the main boom. Between the jib and main boom are two lattice sections of 7 meters to be installed to achieve the maximum hook height of almost 95 meters. Here was the crane in operation with a 28.1 meter main boom.
An old machine from a cookies factory with a mass of about 5 tonnes was loaded into a truck.
Joh. Schol is a well respected name in the industries in and around Amsterdam (NL), in the meanwhile does this company exists more then 120 years.
At the end a small photo sessions at the yard.
In transit is the crane 15.92 meters long, 2.75 meters wide and 4 meters tall. The transport mass is around 72 tonnes.
A very sharp and perfectly maintained crane by Joh. Schol!
