Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1

Sante

Here, the impressive Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 of Sante from Singapore (SG) was used for the dismantling of a tower crane from its own fleet.

This 500-tonne crane joined the fleet of Sante at the end of 2019. The crane is primarily used for assembling or dismantling tower cranes from Sante’s own fleet.

The outrigger base of the LTM 1500-8.1 measures 10 x 9.6 metres, or half 10 x 6.25 metres.

Here the crane was set up with 105 tonnes of ballast, which has a slewing radius of 6.6 metres. The full ballast weighs 165 tonnes; four blocks of 15 tonnes are still missing here.

The crane was erected in TY3N configuration; main boom with luffing support and a luffing jib. The struts of the YSL support are each unfolded at an angle of 42 degrees.

The luffing jib has a length of 35 metres here; the maximum length of the luffing jib is 91 metres.

Here the main boom was extended to a length of 57.7 metres. The dismantling of the tower crane was already well advanced; only tower sections still had to be lifted. Sante also operates a fleet of trucks to transport crane components between construction sites and its storage yards.

A very impressive crane and operation by Sante.

The Liebherr LTM 1100-4.2 was used as an auxiliary crane. This crane erected the LTM 1500-8.1 and is used to load the tower crane components onto the trucks.
