Construction company Van Omme & De Groot from Rotterdam (NL) is deploying some (mobile) tower cranes including this sharp Liebherr MK 88 in "Plus" execution. It is a 4-axle mobile tower crane with a 45 meter jib length and a load moment of 88 mt.
The undercarriage is powered by a Liebherr D936, a 6-cylinder diesel engine with 408 hp. The axles 2, 3 and 4 are driven, all axles are steerable. The full outrigger base measures 7.3 x 7 meters.
Packed has the crane a 15.94 meter length, a 4 meter heighs and a 2.75 meter breadth. The transport mass is 48 tonnes.
It is the MK 88 in "Plus" execution, mainly recognizable on the additional 2 tonnes of counterweight. By using the additional "Plus" load curve are the dynamic back-ups used by reducing the working speeds of the drives, because of that the crane can lift more. The tailswing of the counterweight is 3.7 meters. At the back of the chassis is a transport frame attached, which is optional available with the crane, loaded with a concrete bucket.
The jib has a max. length of 45 meters. The crane can lift a maximum load of 8 tonnes up to a 13 meter radius and 2.2 tonnes up to 45 meters. The jib is easy adjustable to a 15, 30 or 45 degree angle. A very sharp crane of Van Omme & De Groot! The largest tower crane in their fleet is a Liebherr 550 EC-H 40 Litronic, which was built in the same factory as this MK 88.
