This Liebherr LR 1750 of Mammoet from Schiedam (NL) was in the winter of 2010 used to install heavy tanks. It is a 750-tonne crawler crane.
The tracks are each 11.9 meters long, 1.5 meters wide and 2.13 meters tall. The mass each is 44 tonnes.
The undercarriage is 10.3 meters wide. On the undercarriage are 95 tonnes of central counterweights installed, that exists per side out of a 10 tonne base plate and three counterweight slabs with each 12.5 tonnes.
The crane is powered by a Liebherr D9508 A7, an 8-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 400 kW (544 hp). The crane is fitted with two 16-tonne hoist winches.
At the end of the street is a large floating crane loading a large tank onto a transport combination of Mammoet.
The tank is a double 9-axle Scheuerle platform trailer, towed by a MAN TGA 41.660. From a mancage is the load attached to the main crane.
The tank with a mass of approx. 100 tonnes is hanging in the crane, that is fitted here with a 63 meter main boom in SL configuration.
In this configuration is the crane able to hoist 100 tonnes to a 30 meter radius.
Attached to the super structure is 245 tonnes of counterweight. That exists out of eigthteen slabs with each 12.5 tonnes installed in 10 tonne consoles.
In this configuration is the main boom maximum 105 meters long. The crane is working here with a 400-tonne hook, reefed on 10-part lines. Both hoist winches are used here.
A sharp crane of Mammoet!
