A Liebherr LTM 1400-7.1 of Mammoet from Schiedam (NL) was used to unload wind turbine parts from a ship. This is a 400-tonne crane with year of manufacture 2008.
The 7-axle crane carrier is powered by an 8-cylinder Liebherr diesel engine with 612 hp. This crane has the optional 14x8 drive line with the sixth axle also driven.
The outrigger base measures 10 x 9.5 meters, or half 10 x 6.23 meters. During the transport over the road is the crane 18.5 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters high. The transport mass is 84 tonnes.
The crane is fitted here with 60 tonnes of counterweight, the maximum is 140 tonnes. The tailswing of the counterweight is hydraulically adjustable from 5.6 to 6.6 meters.
The crane is lifting the hub out of the ship. The main boom has a 15.4 meter base length and a maximum length of 60 meters. The main boom is here 30.8 meters extended.
The hub of the Siemens wind turbine weights around 40 tonnes.
The hub is loading onto the sharp Scania 124 G 500 of Holtrop van der Vlist, that would transport the part to the construction site.
