In the beginning of 2020 took Kim Soon Lee from Singapore (SG) this sharp Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 into operation. It is the second crane from this type in the country, the first unit is also deplyed by Kim Soon Lee.
It is a 230-tonne crane on a 5-axle carrier. The crane is powered by a Liebherr 6-cylinder diesel engine with 544 hp. Through an automatic transmission by ZF with 12 gears are three of the five axles driven (10 x 6), optionally can the third axle by driven also, but that is in Singapore not necessary. During crane operation are the hydraulic pumps to operate the crane functions also powered by the undercarriage engine.
During the transport over the road is the crane 16.54 meters long (with second winch), 3 meters wide and 3.95 meters high. The transport mass is around 80 tonnes including 12 tonnes of counterweight, jib, second winch and the outrigger pads.
During the transport over the road the crane can geometrically only bring 12 tonnes of counterweight on the deck, the full counterweight of the crane weights 72 tonnes. This crane is equipped with a hydraulic adjustable bi-fold singaway jib.
The crane can be operated with two different ballast radii, with 4.83 or with a 5.73 meter meter radius. The radius is to be chosen during the erection of the crane by positioning the consoles forwards or backwards. During the operation of the crane, the radius can't be changed anymore.
The bi-fold swingaway jib is 11.5 or 20 meters long and in angle between 0 and 40 degrees adjustable.
The main boom has a 12.7 meter base length and extends seven times to a maximum length of 75 meters.
A very sharp crane in the colours of Kim Soon Lee! With special thanks to Kim Soon Lee for posing the crane!
