Liebherr LTM 1120-4.1

Kim Soon Lee

At the beginning of 2022, Kim Soon Lee from Singapore (SG) commissioned this fine Liebherr LTM 1120-4.1. It is a 120-tonne telescopic crane mounted on a 4-axle carrier.

The crane is powered by a Liebherr 6-cylinder diesel engine with an output of 330 kW (449 hp). The carrier has 8x6x8 drive, whereby axles 2, 3 and 4 are driven and all axles are steerable. During crane operation, the hydraulic pumps in the superstructure are driven by the engine in the carrier. The crane can perform all four crane movements simultaneously.

The full outrigger base of the crane measures 7.44 x 7 metres. The crane is equipped with VarioBase, whereby the crane calculates the maximum lifting capacity live on the basis of the mounted ballast, boom direction and outrigger width.

In transport condition, the crane is 14.87 metres long, 2.75 metres wide and 4 metres high. The total weight of the crane as shown here is 48 tonnes.

This crane has VarioBallast, whereby the ballast is positioned on a swing radius of 3.83 or 4.77 metres by slewing the ballast arms forwards or backwards. The crane can be equipped with 30.2 tonnes of ballast, of which the crane itself can geometrically carry 19.2 tonnes. The crane is equipped with two hoist winches.

The crane carries a 10.8- to 19-metre folding jib. This jib is mounted to the main boom at an angle of 0, 20 or 40 degrees.

The 7-section main boom has a base length of 12.3 metres and telescopes six times to a maximum length of 66 metres.

In the meantime, Kim Soon Lee has commissioned a second LTM 1120-4.1.

A very fine crane in the colours of Kim Soon Lee! This company deploys cranes with lifting capacities of up to 300 tonnes.
