Keller + Hess from Regensdorf (CH) owns this Liebherr LTR 1100, that is according to the stickers the first crane of this type in Switzerland. The crane's year of manufacture is 2009.
It is a 100 tonne crawler crane with telescopic boom. The crane is powered by a Liebherr D934S, a 4 cylinder diesel engine with 175 hp. The diesel engine powers three hydraulic pumps, with them are the crane functions operated.
The crane was used here to erect a steel construction.
The crane was erected here with 26 tonnes of counterweight, that exists out of two wide slabs of each 10 tonnes and two blocks with each 3 tonnes. The counterweight can be increased by two extra 3 tonne blocks to 32 tonnes. The tailswing is 4.42 meters. This crane is equipped with a second hoist winch, but that is not in use here.
The undercarriage is 6.4 meters long and 5.05 meters wide. For the transport over the road the tracks can be retrackted to 3.5 meters.
Between the tracks is on both sides 7.5 tonnes of central counterweight installed. To reduce the transport weight and breadth, the tracks can be removed from the base machine. The crane jacks itself up using the four smaller hydraulic cylinders attached to the undercarriage. With help of the crane's hook the tracks can be removed or installed to the undercarriage. The transport weight with tracks is 55.2 tonnes, without its only 37.1 tonnes.
The boom has a 11.5 meter base length and a fully extended length of 52 meters. The boom is here extended 19 meters. A 19 meter bi-fold swingaway jib, combined with a 14 meter lattice boom extension makes a maximum hook height of 84 meters possible.
A special crane in the fresh colors of Keller + Hess!
