This Liebherr 35 KR of i+R Bau from Lauterach (AT) stood on a smaller construction site in Hard (AT) to assist with the construction of a new hall. It is a 3.5-tonne tower crane installed on a crawler chassis with year of manufacture 1993.
The main advantage of the crane is it's mobility on the construction site, during crane operation the crane must be stabilized by the outriggers. The outrigger base measures 3.64 x 3.52 meters and the crane has hydraulic outriggers.
The counterweight weights approx. 17 tonnes and has a 3 meter tailswing.
The crawler undercarriage is 3.7 meters long and 2.9 meters wide. The mass of the crane is approx. 40 tonnes.
On the undercarriage is an 80 kVA power pack installed to power the crane.
Here is the crane configured with the standard hook height of 20 meters, with retracked tower the hook height is 12 meters. The tower can be extended by maximum two additional tower sections. The hook height is then maximum 24 meters. The abrevation KR means Klettern (climbing) and Raupenunterwagen (crawler undercarriage).
The crane is fitted here with the maximum jib length of 33 meters, the maximum load of 3.3 tonnes can be lifted to a 11.4 meter radius and the load at the jib tip is 925 kg.
A very useful crane for smaller construction sites!
