This sharp Liebherr MK 88 belongs to Hi Lift from Auckland (NZ). This is the first Liebherr MK 88 that was delivered to New Zealand, the crane's year of manufacture is 2019.
The 4-axle carrier is powered by a Liebherr D936 A7, a 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 300 kW (408 hp). The axles 2, 3 and 4 are powered, all axles are steerable.
The crane was used by the construction of a new hall.
The outrigger base measures 7.3 x 7 meters, or half 7.3 x 5.75 meters.
At the rear of the chassis is the standard storage box of Liebherr mounted.
The outrigger pads and some auxilairy material for the MK 88 are transported on a small truck, both vehicles are always together.
Here is the crane used with the standard counterweight, that has a 3.55 meter tailswing. Optionally is it possible to install a 2-tonne counterweight slab, the tailswing is then increased to 3.7 meters. With the additional counterweight is the lifting capacity increased by 200 kg at the jib tip.
The jib has a 45 meter length and can be used horizontally or in an angle of 15, 30 or 45 degrees. Here is the jib inclined 30 degrees.
Here are roof plates distributed by the crane, a small opening in the roof is left for the crane.
The nickname for this crane is "The Mantis".
Some moments later was the crane dismantled.
To comply with the axle regulations in New Zealand are the two front outrigger feet removed and transported on the truck.
In transit is the crane 15.94 meters long, 2.75 meters wide and 4 meters tall. The transport mass should be close to 48 tonnes.
A very sharp crane of Hi Lift! With special thanks to the driver for posing the crane!
