This Liebherr MK 100 of Heijkoop from Nieuwerkerk a/d IJssel (NL) could be photographed on their yard. It is a 100 mt-tower crane with a 52 meter-long jib that is installed on a 5-axle undercarriage.
The undercarriage is powered by a 6-cylinder Liebherr D 846 A7 diesel engine with a power of 370 kW (503 hp). The axles 1, 3 and 4 are driven and all axles are steerable. The superstructure is powered by its own generator. On this crane is the upper cabin positioned between the engine compartment of the undercarriage and the counterweight of the superstructure, on earlier models was the cabin positioned at the bottom of the tower (so at the back of the crane).
During the transport over the road is the crane 16.65 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters high. The transport mass is around 60 tonnes.
The outrigger base of the crane measures 8.25 x 8.2 meters, or half 8.25 x 5.95 meters. Two larger outrigger pads are transported on the undercarriage. Smaller plastic outrigger pads are stored in a small frame below the storage compartment behind the first axle.
The 3-part tower extends two times by hydraulics and takes care of a horizontal hook height of 30.8 meters.
The jib has a length of 52 meters. The maximum load of 8 tonnes can be lifting on a radius of 14 meters and the load on the jib tip is 1.6 tonnes. With the jib luffed up to the maximum (45 degrees) is a maximum hook height of 68 meters reached. The crane can still lift 1.6 tonnes on that height.
