This sharp Liebherr LTM 1130-5.1 of Emil Egger from St. Gallen (CH) stood parked during the weekend on a small yard. It is a 130 tonne crane with year of manufacture 2013.
Emil Egger is a very large company active in horizontal and vertical transport. The largest telescopic crane is a Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1, the largest crawler crane is a Liebherr LR 11000 - the largest crane in Switzerland!
The six part main boom has a 12.7 meter base length and extends five times to a maximum length of 60 meters. Swiss companies do often order due economical reasons a local load hook, that is why not a standard Liebherr hook is used here.
Packed has the crane a 14.8 meter length, a 3.95 meter height (on 14.00 tyres) and a 2.75 meter breadth. The transport weight is around 60 tonnes. A 19 meter long folding jib can be taken with the crane.
The crane itself takes 22.6 tonnes of counterweight with it, the complete counterweight weights 42 tonnes and has a 4.2 meter tailswing. On the undercarriage is laying 16 Tonnes of counterweight.
The other 6.6 tonnes of counterweight remains on the superstructure.
On the rear of the crane are four large outrigger pads and a huge amount of wood taken.
With a difference of 59 years in age between the Liebherr Form 8 with year of manufacture 1954 and the Liebherr LTM 1130-5.1 with year of manufacture 2013 are the technological progressions good recognizable. A very nice couple!
