Liebherr LG 1750 - Dufour

The company Dufour is using at the moment 5 units Liebherr LG 1750, mainly for the assembly of windturbines. This LG 1750 stood parked along the German highway and was on the move to France.

The official colours of Dufour are actually beige and purple. This crane was new delivered to Grohmann and was also used by Mammoet, Felbermayr, Steil, Sarens and Buller. The red and black colors are comming from the last mentioned company.

The undercarriage is during the transport 18.96 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters high. The transport mass is ca. 96 tonnes, that could be reduced to ca. 48 tonner by removing the big outriggers, each 12 tonne.

The silver surface below the slewing ring with quick connection is a foldable platform that is used by the assembly of the superstructure. The superstructure is transported by truck.

The undercarriage is powered by a Liebherr D9508 A7 8 cylinder diesel engine with 680 hp, the engine is trimmed to a max. torque moment of 3,000 Nm because the automatic transmission if ZF is to weak. The crane has a 12.3 x 12.1 meter outrigger base with slided in outriggers and 16 x 16 meters with the outriggers extended. When the derrick boom is used the crane is always put up on half outrigger base.

The front-outriggers are pushed into bowls behing the cab to secure them for swinging out during driving over the road.

This sharp crane is currently still used by Dufour.
