Brandt Kran und Logistik (short: BKL) from Schwedt (DE) was using this sharp Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 with long jib to lift construction materials onto the roof of a building.
It is a 250-tonne crane installed on a 5-axle carrier. During the transport over the road is the crane 15.96 meters long, 3 meters wide and 4 meters high. The transport mass is around 60 tonnes.
The crane is powered by a Liebherr 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 400 kW (544 hp). During the transport over the road is the engine powering four of the five axles, all axles are steerable. During crane operation is the engine powering the hydraulic pumps in the superstructure through a central axle.
The full outrigger base measures 9.3 x 8.3 meters.
The LTM 1250-5.1 was one of the first cranes from Liebherr with VarioBallast, where the counterweight can be installed on two different tailswings (4.78 or 5.58 meters). This radius can be choosen by positioning the outriggers inwards or outwards. Here was the larger radius in use. The maximum counterweight of the crane weights 88 tonnes, here was the crane used with 41 tonnes of counterweight, that exists out of a 11-tonne base plate and three slabs with each 10 tonnes.
The crane was erected in the middle of the road.
BKL is also operating cranes from Demag and Tadano. BKL is a sister company of BTB Logistik that is operating cranes up to 750 tonne lifting capacity.
The main boom has a 13.1 meter base length and extends five times to a total length of 60 meters. The main boom is here extended to full length.
The main boom can be extended by a 36-meter bi-fold swingaway folding jib or a 50-meter fixed jib. Here is a fixed jib with a 36 meter length installed. The angle of the jib is adjustable in angle between 0 and 45 degrees by hydraulics.
A very sharp crane!
