This sharp Liebherr LTM 1070-4.2 of BKL could be photographed on their yard in Forstinning (DE). It is a 70-tonne crane mounted on a 4-axle carrier.
The undercarriage is powered by a Liebherr 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 270 kW (367 hp). This crane has the optional 8x6-drive line, where the axles 1, 3 and 4 are driven. All axles are steerable.
The 6-part main boom has a 11 meter base length and extends five times to a full length of 50 meters. An optional 9.5 / 16 meter long bi-fold swingaway jib can be attached to the main boom under a 0, 20, 40 or 60 degree angle and takes care of a maximum hook height of 68 meters.
In transport mode has the crane a 12.52 meter length, a 3.85 meter height and a 2.55 meter width. The transport mass is aprox. 48 tonnes.
The outrigger base of the crane measures 8 x 6.3 meters, or half 8 x 4.5 meters. On the crane carrier is 5 tonnes of counterweight stored.
At the rear of the crane are two boxes mounted, one box for the outrigger woods and one box for rigging.
Attached to the superstructure remains 5.7 tonnes, so the total counterweight on the crane is 11.7 tonnes. Two additional slabs with 1.2 and 1.4 tonnes makes the counterweight of 14.5 tonne complete. The counterweight has a 3.46 meter tailswing.
A very sharp crane in the colours of BKL!
