This sharp Liebherr LTM 1130-5.1 of Gruas Albur from Pamplona (ES) was used by the construction of a new supermarket.
Put up with 29.3 tonnes of counterweight with a 4.2 meter tailswing. Two extra counterweight slabs are making the counterweight complete and 42 tonns.
The main boom is here extended up to 47.5 meters. The max. boomlength is 60 meters.
The crane was erecting a steel construction for a new supermarket.
The crane outrigger dimensions are 8.05 x 7.5 meters. The transport mass is about 60 tonnes with 9 tonnes of counterweight. The rest is delivered separately.
A next day the 19 meter folding jib was used. In this way the crane can reach the full construction side from one position.
It is the biggest crane of the company that has at this moment 7 cranes.
With the 19 meter folding is a height of 80 meters reached, with 14 meters boom extension even 92 meters.
This nice Liebherr LTM 1130-5.1 of Gruas Albur from Pamplona (ES) was used to erect a Liebherr prototype tower crane.
It is a Liebherr 1000 EC-B 125 tower crane, specially designed to erect wind turbines. With a tower crane it is possible to work with higher wind speeds, higher hook heights are reached and the view from above is also a big advantage.
The tower crane is put up on tower system 1000 HC. These tower section have a square dimension of 3.4 x 3.4 meters and have a length of 5.8 meters. The mass is about 7.5 tonnes each.
The tower sections for the 1000 EC-B only have two climbing lugs, the jacking cage is making steps of 5.8 meters, in order to climb faster to its final hook height.
The Liebherr LTM 1130-5.1 of Gruas Albur is put up with full counterweight, 42 tonnes. That has a tail swing of 4.2 meters.
The crane outrigger dimensions are 8.05 x 7.5 meters, or half, 8.05 x 5 meters.
The slewing ring is almost identical with the 1000 EC-H tower crane, and weights about 23 tonnes. The cabin and the switchgear cabinet can be removed in order to safe weight.
The assembly with only 5 tower sections is only for the test of the upper structure. Normally the crane is put up on reinforced base towers, (with or without) a 18 x 18 meter undercarriage, put up with a maximum free-standing hook height of about 108 meters.
The Liebherr LTM 1130-5.1 has extended his boom up to 43.1 meters and is then still lifting 25.3 tonnes.
It is the biggest crane of Gruas Albur, they also own a Liebherr LTM 1060/2 and a Liebherr LTM 1045-3.1.
This is the jib pivot section, weights 8.5 tonnes and is directly mounted on the slewing ring.
To put on the jibs, the crane is relocated a bit backwards.
The counter jib weights 21 tonnes with the hoist motor included. The motor has a power of 110 kW, there is enough hoist rope on the drum to reach a hook height of about 195 meters!
The first 20 meters of jib. The first part is reinforced. The maximum capacity of 125 tonnes is lifted on a maximum reach of 9 meters.
The hook and the trolley weights together 12 tonnes. The trolley with the platform weights together 6 tonnes. The hook weights 4 tonnes, and the additional counterweight 2 tonnes. The counterweight is necessary to keep enough pull on the hoist rope, when the crane is working in 6-fall. In 6-fall, the crane has a maximum capacity of 125 tonnes, in 4-fall a max. of 100 tonnes. The re-reefing from 6 into 4-fall, or otherwise, only takes a few minutes.
Here is the trolley moved on the jib parts, which is normally by the assembly of tower cranes. Now on the floor, a jib section is moved in the trolley, attached to each other and mounted in one lift in order to safe time.
With the last jib section, the jib with a 31.5 meter length is complete. It is possible to extend the jib with 5 meters up to 36.5 meters. For the erection of wind turbines is a longer jib principle not necessary.
At last, the counterweight slabs have to be mounted, about 35 tonnes.
The LTM 1130 is almost ready now, the assembly of the tower crane took almost a full day.
After the last ballast block ist mounted, the LTM 1130-5.1 is ready for today. A wonderfull day comes to an end.
