Kobelco 7055-2 - Smith
This sharp Kobelco 7055-2 belongs to Smith Crane & Construction from Christchurch (NZ) and was used on their yard in Auckland (NZ) as yard crane. It is a 55-tonne crawler crane with year of manufacture 1996.
The undercarriage is 5.57 meters long and 4.53 meters wide. For the transport over the road is the width to be reduced to 3.2 meters.
The crane is powered by a Mitsubishi 6D22-T diesel engine.
Attached to the superstructure is a counterweight with a total mass of 15.6 tonnes, that exists out of two parts with 9.8 and 5.8 tonnes. The counterweight has a 3.8 meter tailswing.
The A-frame has in operation a maximum height of 5.71 meters, for the transport over the road is the A-frame to be folded down.
The crane is fitted with two 6.6-tonne hoist winches, both are in use here. The main boom has a 9.1 meter base length and a maximum length of 51.8 meters.
Here was the crane fitted with a 30.5 meter long main boom. In this configuration is the crane able to lift maximum 24.2 tonnes on a 6.6 meter radius and 3.1 tonnes up to a 27.6 meter radius. A sharp crane of Smith!
