This large Kobelco SL6000 belongs to Fitzgerald Construction from Footscray (AU) and was in Brisbane (AU) used for the construction of a large bridge over the river that crosses the city. It is a 550-tonne crawler crane that was used here from a large barge.
The crane was fitted here in STD configuration. The main boom has a length of 54 meters, the maximum length is 84 meters.
The crane is powered by a Hino E13C-UV, a 6-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 320 kW. The diesel engine powers in total six hydraulic pumps.
Attached to the super structure is 200 tonnes of counterweight, that exists ouf of a 20-tonne base plate with a total of eigthteen blocks with a 10-tonne mass. The tailswing of the counterweight is 8.3 meters.
The undercarriage is 9.9 meters wide and 11.49 meters long. Attached to the undercarriage is 50 tonnes of counterweight.
The tracks are each 11.49 meters long, 1.5 meters wide and 1.79 meters tall. The mass each is 40 tonnes.
The hoist winches are mounted in the boom foot of the main boom. The crane has two 14-tonne hoist winches, each fitted with a 28 mm hoist wire rope.
Both hoist winches are in use here. Depening on the number of part lines is the crane able to hoist in this configuration a maximum of 224.6 tonnes at 11 meter radius and 25.7 tonnes up to a 49.5 meter radius. Over the runner is the crane able to hoist maximum 28 tonnes.
A very sharp crane of Fitzgerald, this company is owning (minimum) two units of this crane type that they deploy on their own projects.
