The sharp Kobelco SL6000 of Bok Seng from Singapore (SG) was used there to hoist some heavy elements for a large tunnel boring machine (TBM).
During my first visit were the components delivered to site by Peck Tiong Choon, the same night were some trucks unloaded by the crane.
Here was the first cargo with a mass of 42 tonnes lifted.
Some days later was the upper section of the front shield lifted. This component has a 92 tonne mass, the hook and rigging have a mass of approx. 12 tonnes, the crane is lifting here approx. 104 tonnes.
The crane was fitted here with a 48 meter lange main boom in HL configuration.
The superlift is now attached to the counterweight, the crane can now enlarge the radius. Attached to the superlift is in total 130 tonnes of counterweight and the counter radius is 16 meters.
Attached to the superstructure is in total 180 tonnes of counterweight, between the tracks is in total 50 tonnes of central counterweight mounted.
The load is boomed down to a radius of 26 meters, then the load can be lowered to a depth of approx. 50 meters.
Again some days later is the heaviest part of the TBM lifted, the cutter head has a mass of 110 tonnes. Here is the head already tilted into vertical position. The hook and rigging have a mass of approx. 12 tonnes, the crane is lifting here approx. 122 tonnes.
After the crane slewed 90 degrees and the 190 tonnes of superlift counterweight is attached to the superlift is the working radius increased to 29 meters. A very sharp job by Bok Seng!
