The Kobelco SL6000 of Bok Seng from Singapore (SG) was there used for the installation of heavy concrete precast elements for a new bridge over a canal.
Here was the crawler crane fitted in HL configuration with the 300-tonne main boom head; the superlift is 30 meters long and the main boom has a length of 66 meters.
The bridge is built uit of multiple elements, the elements have a mass of approx. 42 tonnes and are mounted to a radius of approx. 52 meters.
The superlift ballast is here 190 tonnes and positioned at a counterradius of 11 meters.
The next segment is attached to the other side of the bridge, the superlift counterweight isn't required now.
The next segment is to be installed on large radius again, the tides are now different en the water is higher compared to previous photos. In the background is the country of Malaysia already visible.
The superlift counterweight is floating just above the carefully prepared platform.
The crane's year of manufacture is 2008 and on the photos the crane is 11 years old.
In those times this was the largest crawler crane in the fleet of Bok Seng, todat is this a Liebherr LR 1750/2.
Attached to the superstructure is a total of 180 tonnes of counterweight. The superlift counterweight is maximum 250 tonnes and can be positioned on a counterradius of 11, 13 or 16 meters.
The next segment will be installed. In total is the crane lifting here about 54 tonnes; 42 tonnes of the segment, 4 tonnes of the lifting frame and the rest of the lifting gear and the 5-sheave 120-tonne hook with a mass of 4.5 tonnes.
A few weeks later are still segments installed.
Now was worked on the second bridge, built in parallel with the first bridge.
Because these segments are installed on a shorter radius is the superlift counterweight reduced to 70 tonnes.
A very sharp job for the Kobelco SL6000 of Bok Seng!
