Kobelco 7300 - Asiagroup

Asiagroup from Singapore (SG) was deploying this sharp Kobelco 7300 crawler crane during the construction of a new warehouse. It is a 300-tonne crawler crane with year of manufacture 2007.

The crane is powered by a Mitsubishi 8DC9T, a 16-litre 8-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 257 kW (345 hp). The diesel engine poweres in total six hydraulic pumps.

The crane has two 12.5-tonne hoist winches, both fitted with 28 mm hoist wire rope.

Attached to the undercarriage is in total 22 tonnes of central counterweight, the central counterweight exists out of four blocks each with a 5.5-tonne mass.

The undercarriage is 9.76 meters long and 8.22 meters wide. The tracks are each 9.76 meters long, 1.22 meters wide and 1.48 meters tall. For the transport over the road are the tracks to be separated from the body, their mass each is 30 tonnes.

Attached to the superstructure are on the front- and rear side sets of jack-up cylinders. These outriggers are required when then superstructure is separated from the undercarriage. The superstructure has a mass of 49.5 tonnes and the undercarriage (without tracks) weights 26 tonnes.

Attached to the superstructure is in total a counterweight with a total mass of 75.5 tonnes, the counterweight exists out of seven slabs with a mass between 12.3 and 10.3 tonnes. The counterweight has a 6.7 meter tailswing. On top of the counterweight is the luffing winch for the luffing jib mounted.

The crane was erected here with a 36.58 meter long main boom and a 54.86 meter long luffing jib. That is the longest possible luffing jib, the main boom could be extended to a maximum length of 60.96 meter in combination with the 54.86 meter luffing jib.

The luffing jib has a 24.38 meter base length and can be increased in 3.05 meter increments to a maximum length of 54.86 meters. The main boom itself has an 18.29 meter base length and can be extended in 3.05 meter increments to a maximum length of 97.54 meters.

Some weeks before I could take some action photos of the crane. A very sharp and impressive crane of Asiagoup!
