Kato NK-500E-V

This Kato NK-500E-V from an unknown company from Singapore (SG) stood there during a weekend parked on a large car park for heavy vehicles. It is a 50.5-tonne truck crane.

The undercarriage is a Nissan KG54T, a 4-axle modulair undercarriage that was also used by other crane manufacturers. The undercarriage is powered by a Nissan RF8, a 15.1-liter 8-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 231 kW (315 hp). Both rear axles are driven, both front axles are steerable.

The crane is about 13.3 meters long, 2.82 meters wide and 3.8 meters tall. The total mass of the crane is about 39 tonnes. The cabin is positioned on the left side of the vehicle and has two seats.

The outrigger base measures 5.69 x 7.2 meters, or half 5.69 x 4.85 meters. During the travel over the road are both hooks stored on the deck of the undercarriage.

The counterweight is fixed to the superstructure and has a 3.52 meter tailswing.

The crane is equipped with two 4-tonne hoist winches fitted with 18 mm wire rope.

The 5-part main boom has a 10.8 meter base length and extends four times to a maximum length of 40 meters. A two-part jib is 9.2 or 15 meters long and can be mounted to the main boom under a 5, 17 or 30 degree angle. A maximum hook height of 54 meters can be achieved.
